Our membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Membership will be due for renewal for all members on 31 December, even if you joined part way through the year.
Membership is £15 a year or £12 if you are a full member of another u3a (proof required).
Membership forms are available from the link below, at the Friday afternoon get-togethers (2-3pm at the Old Peoples' Club) or via the Contacts Page to the Membership Secretary.
Joining the u3a
We are a self-help, member-run organisation for the improvement of knowledge and well-being, particularly in mature people and those retired from full time work. Members share their knowledge, skills and experience in a variety of ways through meetings, talks, social events and special interest groups – all in a friendly, relaxed environment.
While most members no longer work full-time - they come together for fun things to do in retirement - there isn’t an age limit for membership.
In joining our u3a, you should be aware of the following:
- Burscough & District u3a's governing document - the Constitution
- the Terms and Conditions of membership (see below)
- our Privacy Policy.
You can join via email or in person.
The best way to join us is by making your payment using BACS (details on form). You can then fill in the membership application form and email it to the Membership Secretary.
In Person
A further option is to join at our coffee meeting at the Old Peoples Club, Lord Street, Burscough on Friday afternoons between 2-3pm, with your completed Membership Form and the relevant cash payment.
